Our partner vine restaurant in Budapest:

Hotel Virágos
My name is Tamás Günzer, wine-grower. I graduated as agricultural engineer. I consider the winery to my walk of life. It has big traditions in my family. I started my entrepreneurship in 1991 and in 1998 I could fill the first bottle of my own wine. The numbers of the bottles are increasing from year to year. Nowadays the people know my wines in several places in Hungary. At the moment I am farming in 15 hectares, and we would like to enlarge continuously to 30 hectares. For the wine-growing and for the winery are typical the high exactitude.

I am not satisfied with an average quality wine. I would like to produce specialities and top quality wines as well. My Cabernet Sauvignon from 2000 was elected with the highest score in the category of dry red wine in the Pannon Wine Muster in 2002, where the international jury was electing in every year the 50 top quality wines in Hungary.

The outputs of us in wines are reached the 160.000 bottles in 2008.

The wine territories of us are lying in Jammertal, Ördögárok (Devil Dike), Csillagvölgy (Star Valley) and the Dobogó of Nagyharsány (Rostrum of Nagyharsány), Kenderföld (Hemp Field) and Várerdő (Fort Forest) hills, and in Kisharsány in the Hosszúhát hill (Long Back Hill) as well.

The main point of view on the cultivation is the grape must be careful well-kept. In our plantation we are using low cordon and cultivations like umbrella as well. In our territories we decrease the production with a strict production control. Bunches of grapes have to hang in sloppy and it is not aloud to reach each other. Among others this is one the several reasons why the wines of us have high inside contents. Only perfect and totally healthy and perfectly ripped grapes are harvestable.
